In a year of many lasts, President Bush attended his last National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast as president today.
Bush, received with a warm and standing ovation, was credited for delivering the biggest federal budget for bilingual education ever and praised for promoting "comprehensive immigration reform," which he campaigned on but failed to win.
"Next year," the president said of his wife and his Texas ranch, "in Crawford, Laura and I are going to have a different kind of prayer breakfast.
"I'll be cooking the eggs, and she'll be praying I don't burn them."

Last prayer breakfast for Bush, it's about time. Aren't we fortunate that Bear Stearns wasn't "taking care" of our Social Security monies. whiteagle38
