Over at Julie's Health Club, our colleague in blogging here at the Tribune has raised the question of whether, perhaps, Barack Obama needs to raise the seat on his bike.
"Obama plans to discuss the future of bicycling at a Thursday night fundraiser in Chicago,'' Julie Deardorff notes. "But after seeing this picture of him tooling around town, a concerned editor e-mailed me to ask whether his seat was too low.''
The question was prompted by a weekend bike ride with the family, part of the rest and relaxation that the Democratic candidate for president undertook after his clinching of the party's nomination last week. The Obama-ride attracted a few photographers.
"OK, we know the bike was probably a prop,'' notes Julie, who engaged in some research. "But we still checked with Christian Soto at Turin Bikes in Evanston, who helped fit me on my own bike. Soto agreed that based on the photo, Obama didn't just need a serious seat height adjustment; he should be riding a bigger bike altogether.''

If Obama can't pick the RIGHT SIZE bike to ride. How in the world is he going to PICK the RIGHT team to run the country.
wake up, Obama has no clue on how to run a country. he doesn't even know how to pick a bike.

VJ Machiavelli:
Your response is full of ignorance and lacks common sense. The differences between choosing a bike and a team to run the country are many, and your connection between the two just shows you will say anything to bring down the image of Obama. I would rather you come right out and say that you don't support him. That at least would be respectable... Trying to make connections between issues that are too dissimilar is not respectable.
Think about the quality of your argument next time.
