Yahoo Closing on Google In Customer Satisfaction
The most recent customer satisfaction index from the University of Michigan has Yahoo gaining two points on Google in a year. Yahoo's rating is now 80, while Google's is the same 82 it has been since 2002. "The two-point gap, the closest Yahoo! has come to Google in customer satisfaction, underscores how the lines have blurred between the two Internet companies," Forbes.com says. "Where once Google was dedicated to Web search and paid search results, it has branched out to e-mail, news aggregation, desktop search, mapping and shopping."
Among news sites, CNN.com was off two points; MSNBC.com was off one point; and NYTimes.com, USAToday.com and ABCNews.com were unchanged. "All Others" (not broken out by site) were up 3 points.
