Meet Lisa Doll Bruno

Following a career in advertising as a media buyer working for several New York ad agencies, Lisa Doll Bruno joined Newsday in 1988. She spent most of her time — about 16 years — working in the business editorial department as a researcher and writing about careers for the “Job Hunt” column. She became involved in the Real Estate section in 2002 when she began writing the community profile, “Living In,” which has evolved into today’s “Buying In” column. This feature gave Lisa the opportunity to fall in love with Long Island all over again as she got to explore all its hamlets and villages as well as learn more about real estate. Lisa’s husband, Dan, knows a thing or two about real estate too as the couple have had the experience of buying and selling second homes. The two also like to travel and ski.
