Meet Tania Padgett

Tania Padgett plans to have a townhouse in Manhattan (the upper East Side, dahlink!), an estate in Sagaponack and a vacation home in St. Barts. But for right now, she'll settle for blogging about Long Island's grand old mansions, celebrities' homes and delicious real estate gossip. The assistant editor at Newsday's ExploreLI has been at Newsday for eight years and edits and writes about weddings, New York City events, Long Island happenings and religion.

A 1995 graduate of Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Tania wrote extensively about the commercial and investment banking for the American Banker and Newsday. Later, she became an assistant editor in Newsday's Queens office where she edited features and news stories on New York City's breathtakingly vibrant landscape. She's also written for Crains New York Business, Black Enterprise Magazine and American Health.

Write to Tania at tania.padgett@newsday.com with story tips, gossip, feedback (good and bad) or interesting properties.
