CBS anchor Julie Chen's childhood home to be sold

CBS anchorwoman Julie Chen credits her strong marriage to CBS chief executive officer Les Moonves to Long Island, according to the January issue of Malverne-based monthly Long Island Woman. Chen grew up in Bay Terrace and Mooves grew up in Valley Stream. "I always say that part of the reason we're so compatible is that we basically grew up in the same neighborhood," she says, adding, "We have the same sense of humor and the same values that you get growing up on Long Island or Queens. I think that helps our relationship." Chen says that whenever she had a fancy event she had to attend, her mother would take her to the Americana in Manhasset or Roosevelt Field to buy a dress. She says she'll always consider Queens her home, although, "That's probably going to change now because my parents are selling the house that I grew up in."
