NY Jet Chad Pennington selling Muttontown house

New York Jets quarterback Chad Pennington is taking a “hike” off Long Island: Pennington has put his Muttontown mansion on the market for $4.095 million. The six-bedroom, 7½-bath, brick center-hall Colonial is on 2-plus acres in a private gated compound.

The listing agents are Barbara Tomko and Sharon Hyman of Shawn Elliott Luxury Homes & Estates.

Pennington’s 7,000-square-foot home has a state-of-the-art fitness center, a billiards room, Gunite pool and a four-car garage. And no worries during a blackout — the estate has its own generator.

The home was purchased in 2005 for $3.595 million, according to public records.

Correct pricing can make up for a lot of negative factors. Sellers have to realize that in todays market price is key. It also helps to have a nice property but even then it has to be priced right or will it will not sell.
