Rich harden has been said to have the best stuff in the major leagues by many scouts, he is already one of the most dominating pitchers in the AL (if he stays healthy), and is probably much cheaper than Sabathia. Since the Yankees need starting pitching wouldn't Harden be an excellent option because he would be cheaper, is not a free agent after this year, he has made 10 starts in a row (so he is healthy), and he is a gritty player who may be able to match up against a rival pitcher like Beckett. The Yankees have been looking for a pitcher and doesn't harden seem like the perfect option?

I would not go after Rich Harden at all if I were the Yanks for 2 reasons.
1. A's GM Billly Beane will ask for the moon for Harden. Cashman has already state that he won't mortgage the future with the farm system.
2. Harden is never healthly. He always gets hurt. He already spend time on the DL this year. I know Harden is pitching well right now, but Harden is a injury waiting to happen. The Yanks have been burn with Weaver, Vasquez, and Pavano already. Pavano is a joke getting hurt left and right.

Bob, Dennis pretty much nailed it.
