Easley at 2B/Gomez back in LF
With Johan Santana on the mound for the Twins tonight, manager Willie Randolph went with a more righthanded lineup that includes Damion Easley and Carlos Gomez. Tough break for Ricky Ledee, who had a home run and three RBIs in last night's 8-1 win.
Reyes ........ SS
Lo Duca ....... C
Beltran .........CF
Wright ..........3B
Delgado .......1B
Easley ......... 2B
Green .......... RF
Gomez ......... LF
Sosa ............ RHP
Carlos Delgado says he's going with the high socks again tonight, too. "Why not?" he said. After a couple of hits and a home run last night, no sense in changing anything.

High socks for Carlos Delgado? Geez...
Why doesn't he just go with "prescription reading glasses"?
That might help him to raise his batting average to be higher than the weight of my kids standing together on the scale.
This is what IS WRONG with the Mets....look at that LINEUP!
Who follows the cleanup hitter?
Is it Howard Johnson?
Is it even Kevin McReynolds?
Is there a Darryl Strawberry or Ray Knight in the house?
No, its Carlos Delgado batting .220.
It's Easley from the baseball reject pile.
It's a soon to be retiring Shawn Green.
And of course, the corner outfielder who swings like a policeman at a rock concert: Carlos Gomez.
Nice, I guess Moe, Curly and Larry are unavailable?
Mets neeeeed a bat.
Did not expect mets to beat Santana, he's the best pitcher in baseball as far as I am concerned. His numbers the last three years are sickening. Especially in the second half of the year, he is notoriously unhittable.
However, Delgado-Easley-Green-Gomez 2 for 12 with 3 left on base. Basically, you have to f**kin get on base boys. There is a problem here. And we are all looking at you and your efforts. I don't care who is pitching.
Interesting juxtaposition but YES was airing the Padres-Yankees World Series game with Ledee as one of the heros and here he was playing the bench...OK, Santana IS a lefty.
Did I miss something? What's Mo Vaughn doing in DelGado's uniform?
Mo Vaughn should be the Met Santa every year.
Where's Waldo?
Where's Alou?
