Good pitcher, bad sandwich
Every Met has a routine, and a lunch preference, but not everyone has to like it. For Mike Pelfrey, it's egg-salad sandwiches. That's right. He passed on the grilled chicken. Does it every day, much to the chagrin of clubhouse neighbor Joe Smith. Pelfrey made him one and Smith is done for life.
The whole scene reminded me of Steve Carrell's character in The 40-year-old Virgin. When he described in detail making an egg-salad sandwich. It's probably Pelfrey's favorite movie.
