Carlos Delgado fielded grounders at first base and also did some soft-toss hitting without any problems today. He plans to take batting practice tomorrow, and if that goes well, maybe a game by the weekend.
As for Ryan Church, in his words, "today was not a good day." Church was encouraged after pool work and using the treadmill on Tuesday, but he didn't feel so hot after showing up this morning. He's headed for another check-up at Lawnwood Medical Center this afternoon.
