After a buzzkill of a debut last week, Johan Santana was more impressive against the Dodgers today, when he struck out four over three innings. Santana's changeup kept LA's hitters off balance, even if his fastball -- again around 91 mph -- is not at peak velocity yet.
"This is only the second game of spring training," Santana said. "We still have a long way to go. I don’t even know what the velocity is right now. It's all about command. The release point is there and I'm controlling the corners. That’s what I'm focusing on. I'm not trying to overthrow the ball right now."

I knew he'd be better in his 2nd start and I'm sure in his next 3-4 spring training starts he'll keep improving. By the time the season starts he'll be on his game..I couldn't take all the media people making a big deal about his FIRST spring training start
