David, it doesn't seem like Manuel can get thru to the players about playing more consistently any better than Willie did. Is there a manager out there that you think would be able to get thru to this group and get them playing?
David:
With the Mets within spitting distance of the Phils going into the weekend, what is the mindset of the players? Are they buying into the media/fan frenzy of the sky is falling or do they have the expectation they will be still in the thick of the race come September. I've got to think the Marlins fade and the Braves are out of healthy arms.
WIll Ike Davis be given an opportunity to win first base job next spring if Mets can't sign Texeira?
Wow...We let go of Willy which many wanted...Let's see what has transpired since:
1) New Mgr. gets NEGATIVE press DAILY !!!
2) Team makes more errors nightly.
3) More MENTAL errors nightly.
4) Reyes is lost on the field and shows up teamates.
5) Santana blames teamates after past two games and is 7-7
6) team is 3 games under .500
7) team still does not get big hits.
8) team still is OLD
9) farm system still depleted
10) Team still is EMBARASSING!!!

Please help correct a mistake made over 20 years ago… My friends sister was almost named Mookie, since her family was all Mets fans. Instead they settled on Shannon.
I started up a petition to convince her to legally change her name to what it should have been… (its as a joke – so relax) if you have an extra minute or 2, please sign it.
