Good For Garland
Jon Garland had a great game yesterday in Toronto - the type of game that may not look great in the box score, but was really something nonetheless. 6 innings, 5 runs, 7 hits doesn't sound like much, but against this team up here, it was a fine outing.
He did a terrific job on the Toronto right-handed power in Rios and Wells, just pounding them on the inside. There's a possibility this could put Jon right back on the right track - a good confident outing that he can build on.

Garland will come around. When a pitcher throws as well as he did last year with the accuracy as opposed to power, it can't be a fluke. He's a young guy thar everyone should be a little more patient with.

I agree and I hope you're right about Garland. I'd really like to see him be more consistant in his starts the rest of the season. I've been watching him since he first got to the majors and I think he's better than he's been pitching this season. Let's hope this start turns him around!
GO SOX!

Hawk: Were you there when Tony Conigliaro got beaned? How good a hitter would Tony C have been?

Please tell your story about John McNamara. You got interuppted by the end of an inning. Thanks, Bob Laskowski, Rapid City, South Dakota
