Hawk & Steve's baseball blog: Pablo Ozuna

Pablo Ozuna

What else can you say about Pablo Ozuna? In the situation he was in last night (2 outs, runners on 1st and 3rd), he is every bit as dangerous as anyone else in our lineup because he combines his ability to bunt with being a pretty decent hitter.

Eric Chavez was playing in at third, so he just adjusted and pushed the ball down the first base line for the winner. That's just great baseball and great execution by Pablo, which is why he is such an exciting player for us.

Hawk,

Good point about Pablo. He's a very versatile player when it comes to hitting, with his decent contact and dangerous ability to bunt for a base hit. That was a great play on his part and a great play for the Sox as they went on to win. I agree with you, all of the Sox are exciting players to watch, which is because it is difficult for me to pick a favorite to watch because they're all exciting. Thanks and Go Sox!

P.S. Where did you get the phrase, "You can put it on the boarddd, yesss!" after every Sox homerun? Please send me an e-mail response if you can. It would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Ozuna is an amazing guy! Didn't Ozzie consider using him as a pitcher during the World Series? The kid has talent and I can't wait to see him make bigger and better plays throughout the year. I'm writing him in my All Star ballot!

Hawk and DJ,

Guys, it's been a wonderful year+ watching our White Sox fulfill all our baseball dreams here on the South Side.

When Juan Uribe threw the final out to Paulie last October, the tears flowed, and I called every friend and family member I knew to share in the joy of what was thought to be an impossible dream.

The reason I'm writing you is to invite you to visit a very loyal White Sox community called SouthSideSox.com and join in on the fun. We are very serious fans, and the person who runs the site, The Cheat, is as knowledgeable a Sox fan as you will ever find who isn't directly involved with the Sox organization.

We are a sports blog, and with that comes highs and lows just like any baseball season. And I'll be the first to admit that we do take you guys to task from time to time for some of the things you say on the air. But that is to be expected with passionate fans.

However, we share your love for all things Sox, and would love it if you might check us out some time.

Hawk, I know you have said before that you and computers are like oil and water -- you just don't mix. But if you just check us out some time, I'm sure you'll agree that we're crazy for the Sox.

Oh, and we all hate Jay Mariotti too. See, we have more in common than you think.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

Please tell your story about John McNamara. You got interuppted by the end of an inning. Thanks, Bob Laskowski, Rapid City, South Dakota
