Hawk - you are the best. Been a FAN of yours since you came to the Sox, and been a FAN of THE Sox since my grandfathers raised me right, in the late 60s.
Live in AZ now, so gotts see them in the spring, when they play Dbacks, or when I get back to Chi town.
Hawk, keep up the great work, DJ you shoud appreciate your mentor, you do a great job also.

Hawk and DJ, I want to thank you for teaching me so much about baseball. Not only do I have a better understanding of what plays are best in different situations but I can also talk shop with the best of them and use a few terms that even I have to explain!

Earlier you spoke about flat fastballs and those with 'tails' ...
what about riding fastballs and those that feel (to a catcher) to be thrown with a heavy baseball, though they may not dip at the end?
Are these latter two illusions as some contend ?
