Ozzie Guillen Fined & Suspended

White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen was suspended for Thursday's game as a result of the hit batters in Tuesday night's game.  He was also fined by MLB for his comments in the ongoing battle with Jay Marriotti.

Guillen Comments on Fine and Suspension

Both of them are wrong.

Let's move on! It's only baseball!!

I am personally tired of all the politically correctness. Leave Ozzie alone. At least he has the wherewithal to say what needs to be said. Ozzie if i wasn't so broke i'd pay the fine for you.

Hi gang,

All I can say is that the "Oz" has brought back some real heart and fire to the south side! Regardless of his style, the Sox are the most complete team I have seen since the "Kittle" days (graduated "hs" w/ my mom from Gary).

All the best, Steven Essany, Valpo, IN

C'mon anyone who see's Mariotti knows he's a bit of a jerk. Ozzie is fiery and spit some fire at him. I say if it's that offensive don't listen. Ozzie is a a prankster and a well let's face it honest person. So somehow now that's wrong as well.

Mariotti had the nerve to play martyr in his column thursday titled, "Sensitivity the issue, Guillen the problem". It takes two to make a feud. And if Mariotti's going to be silly enough to go toe to toe with Da Manager he's just going to prove the Blizzard right over and over again.

I still don't understand why Ponson and LaRussa weren't suspended. With two straight batters hit with the game already out of hand for the Cardinals it's hard (more like impossible) to belive that Ponson just had "control issues." If everyone belives Ponson had "control issues" than why will no one belive that Riske had the same "control issues?"

Greetings guys,

Having three power guys, now, in the their lineup, how do you see/compare the 2007 Chicago Cubs, to the Chicago White Sox, on a day-to-day offensive overall? Also what are your sentiments on how the Sox will compete, in the division, with their starting rotation, and the loss of Freddy?

All the best this season!
