Game Notes For Sunday
*The Sox need to get the bats going against the Yankees. Since 4/21/04, they are averaging only 2.6 runs against the New Yorkers in 10 games.
*Both teams pitching leaves much to be desired in July - the Sox have a 6.28 ERA for the month and the Yankees are at 5.53.
*Hopefully Paul Konerko can be back in the lineup today. His .364 batting average at Yankee Stadium is highest among active players with 100 ABs there.
*Jarret Wright's 6.28 ERA in day games is the highest in baseball.

I am a 30 year-old guy who loves baseball. Today, I chose to sit and watch the telecast of the Yankee-White Sox game on WGN. I was completely frustrated at the favortism continually displayed by both announcers, especially Mr. Harrelson. It was disturbing to listen to the announcers rooting for thier team on a station that airs not only in Chicago, but throughout the nation. Has it occurred to them that there actually might be some viewers NOT rooting for the White Sox? The only way I was able to enjoy the game was when I put the TV on mute. I rarely will share my opinions via e-mail, but I was so annoyed that I had to write. Until there are different announcers, I will not watch the White Sox games again on your station.

Amen to Seth! I have never in my life been so embarrassed for a franchise than I was watching these two guys commentate a game like a couple of star-struck 12 year old fans. It was rediculous the way they constantly refered to the Sox as "us" and "we" and not giving ANY info whatsoever on opposing players. Instead it was: "We really need a hit here" or "C'mon Thome give us a big hit". Then they'd say "there's no
question we're by far the best team in baseball" or go on and on about a a sub-par team like the yankees is making them look bad.
Absolutely and completely unprofessional! I'm not saying be unbiased, but get a clue! They are on a NATIONAL Broadcast, calling a game between two powerhouse teams, and they made the game literally unbearable to watch without a mute button.
