Game Notes For Tuesday

*The Sox lead the season series over the Tigers 5 games to 1, with 3 1-run wins.

*Despite some stumbles over the weekend (5 for 35), the Sox continue to hit well with runners in scoring position.  Their team batting average with RISP is .308.

*Jim Thome has hit 46 career homers against Detroit, the most by any active player.

*Jon Garland has won five consecutive road starts and has an ERA of 2.35 in the month of July.

*Left-handed hitters are hitting only .182 off Nate Robertson this season
