Tough Times

When your team is struggling, the tendency is to look and say they look lethargic.  That's not the case with the White Sox right now - it's just been the lack of starting pitching.  I don't think you will see too many of Ozzie Guillen's clubs ever get lethargic.

You may have heard us talk about this all weekend , but it's the starters who have to do a better job for our club to get back on a roll.  They are the key to this team.

Hawk,

I agree with you about the Sox being lethargic, I don't really think they're tired at all, they haven't been playing good baseball of late and I think they could really use this series as a means of building momentum. The starting pitching has been poor of late and I really hope the Sox pitching gets back on track, or else they might even miss the playoffs altogether, which I hope isn't the case. I really do believe in these guys and I know that they can take at least two of three in this series with Detroit, if not sweep the Tigers in Comerica. I'm anxious to see how the Sox respond in these next three games. Go Sox!

Hawk,

You guys talked about the pitching throughout the Yankee series, but Freddie hung tough in that last game. How about keeping your head in the game on the base paths, some timely hitting and a bunt onced in a while? They looked like they were swinging for the fences the way the team did back in 2004. In fact, they had multiple chances to end that long game against Boston before the break with a good bunt. Bring back smart ball and the pitching will respond.

Hawk, Why is it that Ozzie was not doing commercials last year? Maybe he wanted to go to the World Series more last year than this year! This year he is doing commercials and not focusing on his pitchers. Especially since the White Soxs' pitching isn't what it was last year. Last year was an awsom year for the White Sox as well as us fans. Maybe he needs to spend more time with his pitching staff instead of his chevy commercials! sox fan maria.
Go Sox!!

I thought I heard you say that Jermaine Dye was going to get a day off or "get a blow" on yesterday's show. Is this correct?

Does Konerko know how to slide? Yet another pathetic inning that will lead to another loss and a very disappointing season. Look up the word hustle and urgency.
