Game Notes For Friday

*It's been feast or famine for the Sox lately. In their lsat five wins, they are averaging 7.2 runs a game. In their last six losses, only 2.33 runs.

*These are two potent offenses.  The Sox rank 2nd in MLB for runs per game (5.5) and the Tribe rank 3rd (5.45).

*Since the All-Star break, Indian starters have the lowert ERA in the American League at 3.87.

*Just as in 2005, the Indians are on a late-season tear. Since August 1 combining both years, their record is 60-31.

*Jim Thome has struggled against his former team, hitting only 9/42 (.214).

Just wanted to say that St. Pat's Day is 3/17. Is this 9/17? I'm just curious about why the Sox chose this day to wear green to celebrate the half way point to that day.

What happened to Mike MacDougal's lip?
