Game Notes For Friday @ Tigers

* Detroit has lost each of its last two home games against the White Sox and has been outscored 17-5 in those contests. * The White Sox have scored exactly six runs in each of their last four victories, but have scored less than two runs in each of their last five losses. * The Tigers have not committed a single error at home this season (five games). * The White Sox have scored over 60 percent (60.8 -- 31/51) of their runs this season on home runs – the highest percent in the majors. * Jim Thome has hit 49 home runs against the Tigers over his career – the most among active players. * Placido Polanco, currently leading the majors with a .381 batting average, has one double, one triple, one home run and 21 singles this season.
