* Runners in scoring position are no sure thing for these teams so far this year. The A's are the worst in the American League, hitting only .189. The Sox are only two spots up the ladder, hitting only .205 w/RISP this season.
* A's starters have posted a league-best 2.05 ERA this year.
*Only Johan Santana (37) has more wins in the AL over the last two-plus seasons than Jon Garland (36).
*Mike Piazza is off to a good start, hitting .375 with a .412 OBP.

Hey guys, is Hawk ok? Missed him last night. If Dj mentioned why he wasn't broadcasting, I didn't catch the beginning of the game, hope everything is alright.

I'm pretty sure it's Jackson doing this, and after a long and hard seach online I haven't been able to find an e-mail address, so this is where this peeved A's fan in Michigan watching on WGN has decided to post:
Piazza is an Italian name. In Italian, the double z is pronounced as a tz. There is no zzzz in Piazza. There is a dental stop. This guy's not new -- he's been around baseball for a long time now. This mispronunciation of Piazza is driving me up the wall.
I'm also pretty sure Gaudin is not pronounced "Go-dan."
