Game Notes For Friday vs. Astros

* Including the White Sox two World Series wins over the Astros in 2005, the White Sox have won eight of their 11 all-time meetings with the Astros at U.S. Cellular Field. * The White Sox have lost 10 of their last 12 games, and have been outscored 78-39 over the stretch. * The Astros have lost 10 of their last 11 games away from home, and have allowed their opponents to hit .341 over the stretch. * Since May 8, Chicago’s bullpen, without Bobby Jenks’ numbers included, has posted a 10.47 ERA (64 ER/55.0 IP), has allowed 10 home runs, and has allowed opponents to hit .379 (96/253) against them. * Chris Sampson has allowed more than three runs just once over his ten starts this season. * Jim Thome leads all major leaguers with 52 career home runs in interleague play, including three in his last four games against NL competition. * Houston could be without Lance Berkman after he was suspended Friday by MLB for two games for being ejected Tuesday in a win over Colorado.
