Game Notes For Friday vs. Toronto

* The White Sox have not scored more than three runs in any of their last five games (which include four losses) against the Blue Jays. * The Blue Jays have won five straight games. During the winning streak, they have outscored their opponents 35-5, and shut out their opponents on three occasions. * Last season, the Blue Jays’ leadoff men hit 21 home runs – the seventh most in the majors. This year, Toronto’s #1 hitters have hit 22 homers – tied (Philadelphia) for the most in the majors. * Paul Konerko’s 20 extra base hits since June 28 lead the majors. Over the same stretch, Konerko has twice as many extra base hits as singles (10). * Jon Garland is the only pitchers in the majors this season who has pitched more than 100 innings (132.1) without having a single base stolen against him. * Greg Zaun has hit two home runs over his last four games, after hitting just two homers over his previous 45 games. * Frank Thomas is the White Sox all-time franchise leader in homers (448), RBI (1465), runs (1327) and walks (1466).
