Game Notes For Friday vs. Tigers

* Since the beginning of the 2005 season, no MLB team has a better record against the Tigers than the White Sox (40-19). * The Tigers have scored 13 runs over their last two games, after scoring just 15 runs over their first seven games this season. * The White Sox, who are missing Jerry Owens from their lineup, have stolen just one base this season – second fewest in the majors (Yankees 0). * A.J. Pierzynski both scored and drove in five runs in two games against the Tigers last week. * Going back to last season, Todd Jones has allowed just one run over his last 10 appearances. Bobby Jenks, meanwhile, has gone eight straight appearances without allowing a single run. * Justin Verlander has won just once (1-5) in nine career starts against the White Sox, while recording an ERA of 6.00 in those starts.
