Game Notes For Tuesday @ Minnesota

* While these teams have split 20 games since the start of 2007 (10-10), Minnesota holds a 127-100 edge in runs scored, averaging over six runs per game against the Sox. * The Twins have been shut out four times so far this season – tied (Tigers, Nationals) for the most in the majors. * After allowing 17 runs in their first two road games this season, the White Sox pitching staff has an ERA of just 2.24 away from home since April 3 – the lowest in the American League (Arizona 2.14). * Joe Mauer’s current 10-game hit streak is tied for the second longest of his career, trailing only an 11-game streak in May/June of 2006. * Carlos Quentin is the only American League player this season to have at least 20 runs and 20 RBI. * Jim Thome has hit six home runs in his last eight games against the Twins. No active player has hit more home runs against the Twins than Thome has hit (53) over his career.
