Game Notes For Friday @ SF

* This is just the second time these teams have met in interleague play. San Francisco took two of the three games from Chicago in 2003. * The White Sox were just 4-14 in interleague play last season, and have a current five-game losing streak against N.L. clubs. * The Giants have scored just 14 first-inning runs this season, 2nd fewest among N.L. teams (Pirates – 8). * A.J. Pierzynski is tied for 2nd in the A.L. with 14 doubles on the season. Five of his last eight hits have been doubles. * Saturday’s projected starter, Barry Zito, has the lowest run support average of any starter in the majors this season (2.27). * Righthanded batters are hitting just .169 against Gavin Floyd this season, 5th lowest versus A.L. pitchers. * Aaron Rowand has faced his former club once before, in 2007. He went 1-for-8 with five runs batted in during the three-game series, the one hit being a grand slam off of Matt Thornton.

What I want to know is how did you know Alexi Ramirez was going to hit that homerun?
