* The Blue Jays swept four games from the White Sox in May. They have not won more than four games in a season series with Chicago since the teams split 10 games in 2000.
* The Blue Jays have won eight consecutive games to move into third place in the American League East.
* The White Sox have won three of their last four games.
* A.J. Burnett is 10-3 at home and 6-7 on the road, even though his ERA in away games (4.13) is better than his mark at home (4.81). But his run support per nine innings (3.58 road, 6.33 home) has been a big factor.
* Javier Vazquez has fashioned a 1.15 ERA over his last four starts against Toronto, limiting opponents to .196 batting average. But he has only a 2-2 record to show for his work.
* Alex Rios has hit in eight straight games. He has collected three doubles, two triples and three homers in six September games, batting .414 and slugging .966.
* Ken Griffey has slugged .623 against the Blue Jays in his career, the second-highest mark ever versus Toronto (minimum 100 PA, Mark Teixeira .733).

comments: Mention made Saturday during White Sox game of "three players"
since 1959 who could "do anything they wanted," i.e. were the most
talented. KG Jr was one. Who were the other two, please?
Thank you.

K, seriously, last night was the first night I've heard you guys, and you two are the BIGGEST homers I've ever seen. Russell's pitch was a ball. I know you were unhappy but christ let it go. It made the game almost unbearable to watch. If I wanna hear "Cheerleading", I'll go to the game.
