Game Notes For Tuesday @ Yanks

* The White Sox getting out-homered last night is a surprise – they easily lead the majors with a +76 home run differential, and appear likely to set the team record in the category (in 2003, the team was +58). *Chicago has the majors’ best record when it leads or is tied after eight innings (81-7). *Andy Pettite is 79-35 lifetime in August and September. *Bobby Abreu is now a lifetime .400 hitter (36-for-90) vs. the White Sox. *Johnny Damon has broken 70 bats this year, almost twice as many as runner-up Freddy Sanchez (38). ** Only Cliff Lee (+17) has posted a bigger increase in wins from 2007 to 2008 than Gavin Floyd (+14).
