XM Radio is using its MLB sponsorship wonderfully with xmbaseball.com where players will call or leave personalized voicemails or ringtones for anyone you choose. Basically, it's Y2K Mad Libs. You choose the player -- either Derek Jeter or David Ortiz -- and select a few choices from some dropdown menus, punch in a phone number and watch the fun unfold. It's all pre-recorded and you can't engage in a dialogue with the phone call, but it's still funny.

I learned about this on Tuesday but I waited until Friday afternoon when Bean Dennehy came to work. A few hours before game time is prime for punking Sox fans. Even better than seeing his face when Jeter called him and even better than him hanging up halfway through from sheer anger is that we taped it without telling him, just so we could post it here.
