Who's the Boss(ton)?

OK, Yankees fans, I know there's a game today against the Orioles, but let's get to the big question: What will happen this weekend at Fenway Park?
--Yankees win series 5-0
--Yankees win series 4-1
--Yankees win series 3-2
--Red Sox win series 3-2
--Red sox win series 4-1
--Red Sox win series 5-0

The pitching matchups are:
Friday (day): Wang vs. Johnson
Friday (night): Ponson vs. Lester
Saturday: Johnson vs. Beckett
Sunday: Mussina vs. Schilling
Monday: Lidle vs. Wells

You really never know but I don't think either has been swept in the last few years so I'm going to rule out a sweep by either. Leaving

--Yankees win series 4-1
--Yankees win series 3-2
--Red Sox win series 3-2
--Red sox win series 4-1

Red Sox have a .631 home advantage (second best home advantage in the major leagues), so that makes it likely they'll win at least 2.

--Yankees win series 3-2
--Red Sox win series 3-2
--Red sox win series 4-1

Judging from the current state of things (their bullpen and starting pitching performances) I'm going to have to go with 3-2 Yanks.

--Yankees win series 3-2

Yankees will win:
Friday (day): Wang vs. Johnson
Monday: Lidle vs. Wells
Sunday: Mussina vs. Schilling

Yankees will lose
Friday (night): Ponson vs. Lester
Saturday: Johnson vs. Beckett

Reasoning being Wang>Johnson. He'll keep the Bullepn alive for Poson vs Lester. We will still lose Ponson Vs Lester. Johnson will crumble. Schilling will get shelled. We'll win Lidle vs Wells by teeing off their bullpen.

we win the wang game. lose ponson game. win the johnson game because beckett is garbage. win the moose game because moose is a savage. lose the lidle game. 3-2. now thats dank.

SOX WIN SERIES 4-1, TAKE OVER 1ST BTW, GETTING CRUSHED TODAY BY THE "POWERFUL" O'S CAPPING OFF A PUTIRD 3-4 HOMESTAND!

yanks lose 4 of 5, get back to choking and playing scared against the sox, they lost 2 in a row to horrible O's at home, and they will get crushed by sox, might even get swept. derek and joe said they control their own destiny, right on, it will be over by monday.

funny how people change their opinions of the yankees/red sox each series.

red sox got swept by the royals and everyone was givin the division to the yankees

yankees lose 2/3 to the orioles and the red sox are now the best team.

even if the redsox or yankees sweep this series, theres still like 40 games left including a 4 game series in yankee stadium later this year

As I watched the Yankees these past two weeks I felt as if I was on the flume ride going down the water slide. I attribute this to the mediocre play of the Yanks. Hopefully Fenway Park will awaken their senses. I believe that the influx of new players has dampen some of the chemistry of the team for the negative. I vacillate between 2-3 or 3-2. I will go with 3 wins and 2 losses. No particular games just an educated guess.

Yanks win 3

As long as the Yankees come out of this series better than when they went in is what counts. Anything better than +1 is a bonus especially not playing at home.
Most of the Yankees have played in the sardine can before so listening to the juvenile fans up there will go right over their heads.
This is big for A-Rod. If he is a big contributor over the Boston series, it will go a long way toward him being one of the big guns on the Yankees.

This post captures why your team is going to choke. Instead of taking care of business and winning the series against the orioles at home you worry about boston. Forget about them and win the games you are supposed to win. Split the season series with Boston and you win the East. You have a better team and better players (when they arent on steriods, or at ths shrink) then boston does, but they have the IT factor that your team will never ever have again.
