Jaret Wright has just finished throwing two scoreless innings, although they weren't exactly the most economical innings, to say the least.
Joe Torre has lauded Wright for being far more aggressive recently, but that hasn't been the case thus far tonight. Torre has already all but anointed Wright as his fourth starter, but you've got to believe if Lidle goes out tomorrow and throws a gem, they reserve the right to reconsider.

you must be really bored and desperate for conversation.. If you want to make conversation, how about questioning Farnsworth and his inability to pitch effectively? Is he still injured? If so, why was he even used tonight? Wright always gets in little bit of trouble, but thats what seems to help him focus more, he is a battler and is a tough guy. I think more respect is due to him and I believe the team rallies around him.. I dont think they would want to play as hard as if Lidle was pitching due to his ice cream eating habits in philly, etc.. Lidle seems to be a jerk. Philly was correct about that. Look how much better they are without him!
I don't think the team would lay down in the playoffs (or not play as hard) because Lidle likes a couple scoops now and again. That said, at this point Wright gets the start. The real question is if Lidle does look sharp, do you start him over Johnson? I know it will never happen, but with his back going out again, he's a major liability, and I don't trust him to say he can't go until they're down 5-0.
Lidle over Johnson? Are you crazy. Wright deserves to be the 4th starter. Lidle is garbage.
I prefer Wright over Johnson...and Lidle.
