Groundhog Day

back0225.jpgThe week between the first full-squad workout and the first exhibition game is always the longest, I think. It's the same workout, day after day after day. Yesterday we caught a little excitement when Alberto Gonzalez's liner drilled Carl Pavano on the left foot in batting practice; of course now we'll have to monitor Pavano to make sure there is no ill effects. The Yankees have workouts today and tomorrow, intrasquad game Tuesday and then a short workout Wednesday. Thursday starts the exhibitions.

  • Pavano? Oh no, not again!

Great Article on Mussina. I'm glad he's mentoring young pitchers and helping them.

Mussina wise man to younger starters

I would love it if the yankees kept Mussina around in the org after he calls it quits. Now you know why the yankees gave him that 2-year ext besides his era+122, he's a good mentor to the influx of young starters that the yankees will integrate in the up and coming years.

I found a website for Israel Baseball League website

I found a new website where you can get a NY Yankees email address, for example, yourname@ny-yankees.net. I think this is so cool. They have a Yankees portal which is filled with great, positive information about the Yankees. If anyone is interested, the site is http://www.ny-yankees.net.

    Memo to Cashman:
    time to deal Alex
Dealing A-Rod clearly makes more sense than keeping him. What's the point of going through another regular season with the Yankee Alex-batross, who once again will put up at least 30 homers and 100 RBI but do nothing when the postseason arrives? Regardless of what A-Rod does, who knows if the Bombers will even reach the playoffs this year, when the back end of their rotation consists of Carl (bruised buttocks) Pavano and Kei (question mark) Igawa?

Besides, Cashman has already deemed the Big Unit experiment a big failure by sending Randy Johnson back to Arizona after just two years in the Bronx. A-Rod has had three seasons, and it's safe to say that a fourth won't change a thing.

Seven years ago, Cashman made a splash by acquiring Roger Clemens in a spring-training trade. If he can land a superstar before the start of a season, he can certainly get rid of one, too. He owes it to himself, his organization and its fans to do just that.
Mr. Stan Chrapowicki's probably a Mets fan trying to annoys Yankees like myself by writing this piece of garbage. Memo to Stan Chrapowicki's. I hope your get fired from dailynews you stupid piece of sh*t. Also Memo to Omar Minaya Please trade David wright. He chokes last year playoffs and does nothing againsts the Cards. Every Yankees Fan should boycott the Ny Dailynews and stop buying their papers. I believe there's hate propoganda towards the Yankees like Mike " I'm nerd" Lupica and this idiot Stan Crapwicki who both hates Yankees and writes crappy things.

Mike the "Boston Mascot" has no credibility. His unrelenting BS and lack of integrity has made him a no-read.

On the Sports Reporters just now:

What's the difference between Alex Rodriguez and my labrador retriever?? Nothing....they both need to be petted 24/7.

I saw bob Ryan make that comment and even Lupica said "whoa...I would never say that". Ryan is a jackass who was the first one to say "trade whatever you have to so we can bring A-Rod to Boston" a few years ago, so he's just a moron, don't listen to anything he says.

The occasional apperarance\comments of Jayson Stark are the only worthwhile baseball information\commentary on ESPN. Both Bob Ryan and Peter Gammons are Red Sox "Homers" that should be ignored.

They should name the show the sports whiners.Lupica is the petty jeaalous jackass. Ryan is the town drunk who is probably back on the sauce. Both are boring slime balls.

Mike Lupica is a wretched soul plagued with insane hatred, jealousy, and fear of our beloved Yankees. His frustration and bitterness grips readers by the throat, but he is the one who winds up suffocating and gasping for air. When I read his vicious words, I can sense his heart pounding wildly and his eyes bulging insanely as he tries to justify his putrid prejudices, all the while totally ignoring facts and statistics that place the Yankees in a highly superior position to every other team in the history of all sports. We must forgive Mike Lupica, since he's a sick man who suffers from a disease that is factually, historically, and statistically incurable.

I can't agree more with Lucy. I've said it before that Lupica is the wimpy little maggot that hates all athletes because he is jealous of them and he spends his life trying to run them down with the best weapon he has- his typewriter. If someone corner him and so much as gritted their teeth he'd leave a puddle.

Well said Lucy, that's exactly how I see little maggot, I no longer read his crap.

Also just read the asinine linked article, that guy is a fool.

    Lucy : Don't hold back !
