Still no word from Bernie

A quick day here at Legends Field, which was much appreciated. We're already back up in the press box writing our stories. Here's what has happened today: Joe Torre called in sick because of a cold ... Brian Cashman has still not heard from Bernie Williams ... Position players report tomorrow, so time is running out for Williams ... Phil Hughes threw to Jorge Posada in the bullpen and Posada raved. "He's legit. He's going to be in the big leagues soon ... He's a no doubt. I said that last year."

NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS.

I respect Jorge's confirmation of Hughes. Save one spot in the rotation for a young guy.

Jim B.- Enjoy your short "work" day, as it is probably "the calm before the storm". Plenty brewing with Bernie, Pavano, The Boss, Sick Torre, MO, and Jerry Mathers as The Beaver.

Chip, Doug, Bronx Bomber, and AJ

Have you guys signed up your teams yet on the fantasy site? If not, please do so.

Thanks!

Hughes, Sanchez, Clippard, Jackson, Ohlendorf, Rasner, Karstens.

We got pitching baby!

Bernie- You are a Yankee. And I hope I never ever see you in another uniform. You should be in center field mentoring the young player (which should have been bubba crosby) until you are ready to retire. Cashman- learn to home grow them!

Bubba Crosby? You can't be serious. With his career 216/.255/.300 ? Wow.

Bubba out hustled everybody on this team. A great 25th man to have on any team! Long live Bubba.

Yes Bubba! And Tino be mentoring Andy Philips at 1st. Again-- HOME GROW THEM. Sometimes 'HEART' out performs Talent and Bernie and Tino. Have it. While you can't teach it, Someone with it is often great at helping a less experienced person with developing their own talent. HOME GROW THEM! All the time and money that has been waisted trying to buy the talent for a Championship, the team could have developed their own!

If Bernie retires what happens to 'Burn Baby Burn' Sterling?

Bubba Crosby ? Andy Phillips ? Mentoring a 30 yr old 1st baseman ? Has the spaceship landed?
