Aiming for a sweep

OK, guys, be nice to each other. It's awfully nasty on the blog today.

The Yankees go for a sweep tonight. Of course, they do have their worst starter (Kei Igawa) going in what could be his last start for the Yankees this season. They have an off day Monday and could skip him. And by the time after that, Phil Hughes may be ready to join the rotation.

Perhaps we'll have history tonight, with Alex Rodriguez hitting the 500th home run of his career. My guess is that he'll hit it tonight, before he turns 32 tomorrow.

Kat (and others)

According to the people at Elias Alex might have hit his 500th home run last night.

If he hits a homerun during the completion of the suspended Orioles' game, it will count retroactively - so instead of being #501 it would be #484 (or whatever) and last night's home run would count as his 500th.

Oh he'll hit another one before that game and it will be a moot point

Sully,

Not true - even if he belts ten tonight - if he hits one during that make up game, last night's home run would be his 500th.

Oh I know technically that is true

And technically the new millenium didn't start until 2001

But the celebration was in 2000 and people will celebrate his 500th when he hits it in about 3 hours

Do you guys remembered Enrique "The rat" Wilson ?

In 2003, Enrique Wilson was involved in an incident where Manny Ramirez missed a game claiming to have a sore throat, but was later found to actually have been partying in a hotel room with Wilson. At the time, Wilson played for the rival New York Yankees.

Enrique is like a rouge agent and spy working for Redsox and giving some inside information on Yankees pitchers like Mariano , secrets to his friend Manny Ramirez and Redsox Organzation.

I feel the same way with Damon,Myers and recently acquuired Jose Molina.

Hadn't heard that theory before Anon.

I like it.
Damon has been doing his best to help the Sox win this year, that's for sure.

Watch him win with Atlanta this year

Anonymous: Like the commercial on TV; "Whats in that cereal that your eating?"

Sully: you think that trade will go through?

As Frank Burns said on M*A*S*H "It's nice to be nice to the nice."

I could not believe how rude Anonymous was to Diane. Diane you did not deserve that rudeness, as short with others as you can sometimes be.

Well, Uber Lucy and gang, I finally got to see Ted Lilly pitch last night ... the Cardinals games are so expensive, but James Earl Jones treated me! ... he (Ted, not James Earl Jones) threw well. No question the Yanks should have resigned him over Igawa Bonzai Sepuku. They'd be three games or more closer to first place! I question some of the radar readings. He is very serious on the mound. Not very big but can throw pretty hard. One pitch bounced about a foot in front of the plate ... which was strange ... And his curve was good. Fastball about 90 mph. Again, very good control of curve ... his curve was about 74 MPH ...

The Cards lost. But Franklin is amazing with a 1.2 ERA or something. Floyd on the Cubs has a very nice swing. The two LSU guys up the middle are gritty like Chuck K. Wainwright is overexposed as a starter. Looper to. Carp is out for the year and who knows about Mulder?

I met some great fans, some pretty gorgeous gals and had a few innocent laughs. (One was named Mattie who was Liv Tyler esque but blew her away. I almost couldn't breathe when I saw her!) And otherwise had a great time. I couldn't help but think of you all!

Go Yankees!

Go Cards! (A little!)

Go Mattie! (Who needs LivT?)

Seriously... pictures of these uber Livs!

Remember the Sox shopped Manny around as well.

Teams some times see what they can get, ESPECIALLY because the Yanks will have a glut at DH.

No harm in asking.

FYI, washed up Manny already has homered

Bronx Bomber,

Please don't beat up anonymous. And no one minds if you use CAPS or make a typo. You are a brilliant man and should write a book.

John G. (6'4" 265 with 21 inch arms),

Thanks for standing up for uber Lucy. She's great.

I love you all!

Go Yankees!

Sully,

1. Andrea
2. Casey
3. Mattie

I only go for blondes but sometimes you just have to make an exception I suppose. God, that is so shallow!

Andrea looks just like Casey. I can send you a photo of one of them if you are THAT obsessed. Andrea asked me to see Casey's photo for 16 weeks straight till I finally relented. It was truly uncanny. BTW Casey's husband is a black belt and a sniper in the military. She and Andrea are totally identical clones and when I first met Andrea I could hardly believe it. We became good friends and she is a great, great person, caring for a mother with brain cancer. You can't imagine her stress or how genuinely good she is.

And Mattie ... oh my God, she made last night very special, beyond the Cardinals Game and Ted Lilly even!

Please love your wife as much as Liv Tyler. I am sure your wife is better than Liv in everyway. Does she read this Blog? If so you'd better move to ANTarctica.

Ant ... arctica, get it?

Did you know I too have an identical twin sister? It blows people's minds. She considered to be quite gorgeous I suppose.

A few more things ... someone mentioned the actor James Mason as creepy ...

Check out Salem's Lot

And again ...

Bronx Bomber do not beat up Anonymous. Do not get all upset about Hamster urine as hard as that can be. It's just a Blog and just baseball. You have much to offer and should write a book. We all like your thoughts and you are a good man and true Yankee fan!

John G. ... I want you and BB to be my body guards!

And where is Uber Lucy today?

Go Yankees!

don't worry
I love my wife with the passion of 1,000 suns

Let's just say she is equally in love with Viggo Mortensen

The love scenes in Lord of the Rings were loved with equal passion by the two of us

Igawa just hit a dude

Ant Man,

If you saw me you'd say "Hell, I think that I need to be YOUR bodyguard!"

Hurry; get someone up in the pen...
NOW!!!!!!

Jenny Finch throws harder that this guy...
Lefthanded!

I still think that the Yanks ought to hold "Sepaku Night" at the Stadium for this guy.

Every batter has to be a struggle.

What's his pitch count now? 200?

Going home.

See you guys tomorrow.

I can't stand it!!!!

GET HIM OUT OF THERE!!!!

FOUR MORE YEARS!
FOUR MORE YEARS!

Bloody Awful!!!

Sully,

This guy is toast!

There's NO WAY that he last 4 more years with the Yanks!

But the Yankees will pay him the next 4 years

Better hope he has the good grace to get hurt like Pavano did

Is there any reason why Igawa can't be traded? We often trade pitchers who struggle with us only to have them succeed elsewhere. Other teams may see some potential that we don't. We may have to pay part of his $4 million salary, but hopefully that lost money will ultimately be recovered through the use of our more talented -- we hope -- Minor League pitchers.

He just is a dud lucy somebody may want him as a releiver but the word is out that he is trash. the yneed to pull a mo on him and vanish him to the Minors and hope a positive happens.

I hate to say this but this is when communication is an issue. how the hell can Guidry do his job?

The Yankees need to set a standard an ignore these Japanese post bidding process, That team is over there counting those yankee dollars saying SOOOCKA or SUCKA!
