We aren't going to make any papers with the game's outcome given the late start. In about 2 minutes.
The Tigers lead 2-0 after an inning. Magglio Ordonez hit a two-run homer off Roger Clemens. Ordonez is having an amazing season.
It's 4-3 Tigers after three innings. Andy Phillips had an RBI single to put the Yankees on the board in the second. Alex Rodriguez hit a two-run homer off Tigers starter Andrew Miller in the third.
Then Clemens gave up two runs in the third. He walked leadoff hitter Cameron Maybin, then gave up a triple to Curtis Granderson. Granderson scored on a fielder's choice by Placido Polanco.

How does it work with deadlines and late games. When, if ever, would the detailed account of this game be given? Do the players still give interviews after such a late game? Actually, it would be very interesting to get players comments on how they feel, physically and mentally, starting a game so late.

Well, we have two editions. However, it's now 2:25 in the morning (and no, A-Rod just struck out), and all papers have gone to print in order to be delivered to homes and newsstands in the morning. What I write will be posted on my blog. When someone comes into the office in the morning (I mean normal hours morning not middle of the night morning), they will move that and post it as a story on the internet. I imagine postgame interviews will be extremely brief tonight.

A few comments on this game...
1) I'm glad I live on the West Coast.
2) The home plate umpire has been absolutely atrocious tonight. Jorge lost his cool, but those last two strikes were a joke. Earlier, Matsui took a strike that was a foot outside. It was almost comical.
3) I hate watching this game on the Tigers network.
4) Not a good start from Clemens. A good inning from Edwar. Joba being Joba. That couldn't have been Farnsworth. He looked like Joba out there.
5) How do you not love Jorge?
No Red Bull on hand. Fortunately, they have diet Mountain Dew in the machines here.

I am getting worried- not so much because of how the Yankees are playing - not great but not aweful either- but with how well seattle is playing. Remember this team lost their manager half way through the year and they are doing this with a 20 year old ace and jeff weaver --ugggghhhh
