Roger Clemens will not start Monday. Now the Yankees are saying he's going to start Tuesday.
I wouldn't bet on him starting Tuesday.
If the Yankees make the playoffs, which is looks like they will, then Clemens will likely start Game 3. It's in their best interest to hold off pitching Clemens, possibly until late next week, to allow his hamstring, elbow, blisters and whatever else to heal.
A 45-year-old body doesn't need to be pounded with the rigors of pitching every fifth day. Just ask El Duque.
Andy Pettitte will start Monday.
Here's the lineup:
Damon LF
Jeter SS
Abreu RF
A-Rod 3B
Matsui DH
Cano 2B
Melky CF
Mientkiewicz 1B
Molina C
Mussina P

I like this lineup. Looks like a playoff-bound lineup to me. Damon is looking much better over the past month, we loose NOTHING on offense having Mientkiewicz in the lineup instead of Giambi and it's good to see Jorge get the day off after two grueling games.
I'm thinking it's 50-50 whether or not Giambi is done for the season.
And it's good that Roger is getting as much time as he needs.
that's "lose nothing." Typo.
For it to be the playoff line-up, you'd have to put Posada in there Ed. Giambi isn't done for the season. He'll be on the postseason roster and will be a valuable bench player.
I like the score better!
Blue Jays already up on the Moose 3-0
YIKES and Nurnett is pitching tomorrow!
Looks like 3 out of 4 and 4 games out by Tuesday morn!
here come the Red Sox fans getting all sorts of orgasmic over the Yankee game that's tied at 3-3. THEY HAVE TRUE LOSER MENTALITY.
Giambi will be starting during the playoffs.
