ARod rumored to be playing a couple of rehab games next week. Since the Yanks generally like to have rehab games be at home, it's anticipated that he'll be playing in Trenton on Tuesday night, and Wednesday morning (it's an 11:05am start). Tickets are going QUICK!
I think that might be jumping the gun a bit, but I guess even if he doesn't play everyone will get to enjoy watching the Thunder.
I go regularly anyway, but it's been reported that he could begin rehab games next week on multiple locations, so I'm anticipating seeing him. If nothing else, tickets are only $10 and I live 20 minutes away.
Seems that Pete Abe is reporting that ARod will do his rehabing in Tampa since the Yanks have a series next week in Tampa, playing Monday/Tuesday with single A and rejoining the team Wed. Since Girardi was quoted as saying he plans to give ARod an extra day after he says he's ok before bringing him back, I'm not sure I agree with this 100%, though it is logical based on location, etc.
The other idea is that he'll take an extra couple of days and do his rehab at Trenton mid-week to return to the Yankees for the weekend series against the Mets. Either one makes sense.
I'm getting the feeling that the Yankees may overdo being careful with ARod, on the other hand I think waiting till next weekend to play him is probably smarter.
