'It Shall Be Well'

I was watching footage of the old Frontier casino being demolished in Las Vegas. If only it was so easy. Just blow it up and start over.

Kaboom.

Tough time to be a Knicks fan. That 2-1 start was a nice run, though, wasn't it?

Fixers, yesterday was a mere firecracker in comparison to what it will really take to crumble this mess to its foundation and start over.

marbury7.jpgWhat you need to understand is, Marbury is probably going to be back in uniform sometime soon, perhaps before this road trip ends. What I want to know is, how do his teammates welcome him back?

How do you accept someone who bailed out on you on a game day, when you already were shorthanded without Zach Randolph and Quentin Richardson?

If there were any doubts about Marbury's self-centeredness, they were erased yesterday the moment he ignored the pleas of a few of his teammates -- not all, mind you, some were happy he was gone from the room -- and boarded the plane back to New York.

It was all about him, not his teammates.

Yes kids. Be like Starbury. Buy his sneakers. And when the going gets tough, bail out and abandon your team. Next he'll blame the media for blowing it out of proportion. You know that's coming.

I felt compelled to poll the room as much as I could after last night's loss in Phoenix. Without Z-Bo and Q, the Knicks probably would have lost even with Stephon in the lineup, but that's not the point. It's about loyalty to guys who have been loyal to you -- at least publicly -- despite all of the strange things you did throughout the summer. And how you made your sneaker tour a priority over showing up in shape last season. And how you are quick to point fingers, even when you attempt to take the blame, like when he suggested Jamal Crawford should have been in that corner when Marbury threw the ball away on Sunday.

Great teammate. Great leader.

I asked Eddy Curry after last night's game: how can you not be disappointed in him, if not furious?

Curry, one of Marbury's few friends on the team, paused.

Tough question, I then said. I know.

“Yeah, it’s a tough question, but you know what? You never really know what somebody is going through," Curry replied. "I’d like to think I’m pretty close to Steph. I mean, until I know what happened. We don’t know, nobody knows what happened so it’s kind of tough to pass judgement on him. We’ll continue to fight without him and of course we’d love to have him back. Until then, we’ve got to continue playing.”

That's Curry the diplomat. But when I asked a few other guys on the team in a casual conversation (no tape, no notebook), the responses were different. One just shook his head, gave me a look as if to say, "You know my answer" and walked away. Another said some guys on the team weren't upset that Marbury was gone.

According to the Daily News, Marbury has threatened he will dish some dirt on Isiah Thomas. Just sit back and watch that fire fight.

When the dust settles, there will be James Dolan, standing in front of the smoldering ruins, using Marbury's line from the preseason, "It shall be well."

It will, once these characters are finally removed.

This little episode may have positive effects. Curry was busting it last night but was quickly neutralized by officiating, which was terrible. That Joey Crawford is a total ahole why cant they just fire that bastard. Jamal played better D and Jones can give us some minutes. Chandler is a keeper. I think he should start at this point, he was defending well and knew what to do with the ball.

Very unfortunate injuries to Balkman and Collins although Collins is OK he says. What is happening to D Lee? He cant hit a layup. I think real NBA players were letting that white boy play for marketing purposes but once he started to fancy himself a "Playa" and posing for cameras they shut his ass down just like they did to 'White Chocolate". We should trade him for anybody of real value and put Morris in there. Morris is way more talented.
All in all it's not all bad at this juncture.
I think Steph got pissed at Isiah because it was Phoenix where he played. He couldn't take that slap from IT and threw a fit. But I bet he will play better when he gets back.

We need Zach to be back more so then Marbury. Why is he taking 3 games off when 1 would be sufficient?

As a season ticket holder, I will tell you that if Marbury is welcomed back with open arms, I won't watch the team. Enough is enough. If they are going to be bad, let them be bad with players who I can like.

This thing doesn't get any better until Thomas is gone, Marbury is gone and the league takes the management of the franchise out of Dolan's hands. And if that doesn't happen, then many of us will cease to renew our season tickets.

I am now pretty sure Alan is of the same ilk as Isola. Just waiting and hoping the knicks crumble.
The knicks do not tend to kiss the media's rear end, so they pull no punches.
waaaaaaa wwaaaaaaaaaaa
Isiah doesnt give good interviews waaaaaaaaaaaa
The knicks dont make thier players available to the media enough waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
The organization isnt always forthright with the media. waaaaaaaaa

Why should they be, all the media does is bash and bash at every oppertunity.

David,
I am almost at that point. Steph cant come back. We can make the playoffs without him. End his career. No buyout!!!!!!!

Alan,

Wow, you got yourself into some seriously strage s#!t now, who knew?

My rather prosaic questions for you today:

Balkman's status. Very troubling. Its the same ankle with the stress reaction, that he was cleared to play on. The limp and the anguish was not "sprain" material. I hope I'm wrong, but starting with Charles Smith, through Hardaway, D Lee, Crawford, there are serious questions with the Knicks Medical Staff. What is the deal?

Defensive schemes. I'm sure I am not the only one hoarse from yelling at the TV for the Knick guards to go over screens. More horror last night. Crawford's particular strategy just seems to be to immediately hug the screener and then run down on offense. Are they being taught to run under screens and the bigs are not showing or what??? It happens so often, it really looks like its part of their defensive scheme. I'm serious, could you please ask Herb or somebody to clarify this?

Ominous sign of the times: That Curry is friendly with Marbury at all. Talk about a bad influence and a sign of piss-poor management by Zeke. How could you ever let Marbury get in that kids head.

By the way, the Bobcats smoked the Miami Retirees (I mean Heat)

Effort and young legs go a long way - we should have both in spades

Nate4prez – I don’t know Frank well enough to understand the comparison, but it’s unclear what you’re accusing Alan of? Of hating the Knicks? Of wanting them to “crumble”? Alan doesn’t hate the Knicks. But he also doesn’t pull any punches. That’s some extremely weird behavior going on out there. His job is to report that weird stuff’s happening. I think he’s doing exactly that. What are you objecting to? The fact that he’s citing Stephon as being a disruptive force on the team? Do you disagree with that? Do you see any sense of satisfaction in the fact that the team is imploding? I don’t. I think he’s telling it like it is. Sometimes it's a little to easy to blame "media" for everything. That's a mess out there. You can't always shoot the messenger.

Coaches and players have differences all the time and they get resolved. No one called for Jackson to be fired when he let the Kobe/Shaq dispute end with Shaw leaving for Miami. Ainge had the same problems with Walker in Boston.

Over the past few years I've been one of Marbury's biggest defenders against those that called him selfish player and a cancer to a team. I was wrong.... The signs were there when he told LB that he would change the way he plays but would revert if the team didn't win. Now this...

This was Marbury's last chance to clean up his image as a selfish player just interested in his own stats win or lose. He may be going to Europe sooner than expected
venom

no one 'cleans house' on a professional team. All this pomp and bloehard fire Isiah , dump the players
make Dolan sell the team are not based in any reality... it just makes the ignorant feel good saying it eery time there is an issue with this team..... The Nets have had 2 games this year where they went 10 and 12 minutes without scoring a Field Goal.... because Nets coach Franks looks like Opie Taylor... he gets a pass and stays under the media radar... Isiah has a dispute with a player.. it's time to fire everyone..... pathetic

it just seems to me that Alan has been sitting right on the fence.
He picks the team to finish 9th just miss the playoff.
3 games in, hes talking playoffs.
6 games in, blow it up.

He poses as an objective guy to build a fan base.
He saw an oppertunity, recognized a silent large minority of knick fans who wanted to give Isiah a shot. On the blog he spoke highly of thier chances to be good this year, but his columns lacked the same optimism. Not predicting disaster, but not a successful season. Right on the fence.

Either way he wins.Knicks have a good year, Hey I said they were going to be pretty good.
Knicks have bad year, See i told you they would miss the playoffs.

And lets not kid ourselves, bashing Steph is bashing Isiah.
Do I sense satisfaction? Yes, this drama sells papers, A team hovering around .500 does not. I dont think any member of the media feels bad for Isiah, they dont like him and want him to fail.

"I felt compelled to poll the room as much as I could after last night's loss in Phoenix. Loyalty? From The Coney Island Cupcake?

Al, didn't you watch The Coney Island Cupcake on Mike'd Up this past summer or don't you see and hear too good (sic), son?

The Coney Island Cupcake on Mike'd Up via YouTube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yTjebH2fLU :

At the 0:59 mark of the interview:
"We come up with a plan about how to go about this as a team collectively. How we want to win a trophy. We want to win a championship. Everybody has to be planning right now. This is when you start planning. For us and for me, me trying to be the leader of the team, is to try to convince them of a way how we can go steal a trophy. People gonna think me crazy for talking like that."

At the 3:23 mark:
"I been saying for the last some odd years that at the end of the day, if you don't win a championship we are losers."

At 4:31:
"We always want to win the trophy. We call that shiny stuff. That's what the trophy is. It's a trophy, that's it. It's nothing more, nothing less. When you get it, it can't make you billions of dollars."

Mike: "But that's what you guys all shoot for."

Stepon: "No, that's what they shoot for. I don't shoot for that anymore. I shoot to win because I shoot to win and that's it."

The Coney Island Cupcake defines the I, Me, My, More Generation. They care about no one except themselves.

The American Medical Association released a report in August indicating that key early warning signs of I, Me, My, More Generation Sickness include the:

Inability to throw a competent lead pass;

Persistent concerns about height loss; and,

Morbid, twisted fantasies involving the false, desperate belief that Jessica Simpson actually knows you're alive in a room (or an elevator) filled with three or more people.

The AMA advises individuals who have experienced at least one of these symptoms to see their private care physician immediately. Should you acknowledge two of these symptoms, check yourself into the nearest hospital ASAP.

And if you recognize all three symptom, the party is over.

When this season started, I thought Isiah deserved this year to see what he could do with this team. But maybe the time has come to shake things up. Admittedly he’s had some bad luck, with injuries. I’ve never been an Isiah fan, but this summer I worried that firing him would be more disruptive than it would be worth. The last thing this team needs is more turmoil.

But at this point, there’s no stability anyway. That takes away one huge reason for keeping Isiah. And since it’s only 6 games into the season . . . we should assume that nobody on the team is untouchable, including Isiah. There is a strong base of talent here. I would look to keep Zach and Curry . . . and I’d prefer to keep Lee and Balkman . . . but realistically at least one of them may have to be sacrificed if another premier player is going to be brought in. If moves are going to be made - either a trade, or change in management - better now than at the trade deadline in February.

If Isiah can somehow keep the ship from sinking into the Pacific Ocean . . . fine . . . give him a little more rope. But the noose is definitely tightening. I’m shocked he wasn’t able to get through to Marbury, who’ll never again have a GM/coach nearly so sympathetic . . . but he didn’t. It was Isiah’s trade. Isiah’s responsibility. Yes, he’s increased the level of talent on the team during his time here. But he consistently brought in the athlete he wanted . . . not the player he needed. I still don’t think the core group is that far away. But who goes and who stays, at this point, should be a function of who is available that could complement other players to build a cohesive unit . . . the one thing Isiah never did.

I’m not a GM, but all this talk about Bibby and Artest sounds good to me . . . two huge holes in the roster, filled with premier players.

Amen Venom
Steph had his shot and blew it.

Kidd was accused of something 100000000 times worse than anything Thomas was accused of. Its a joke.....

Blow up the team?

That's just stupid.

The idea that because Marbury was benched for lack of effort and decided to cry about it and now we have to blow up the whole team is idiocy.

Are we blowing up the team because Isiah dared to bench a starter or because the starter cried and went home?

Stabbed in the back? I never pledged my allegiance to anyone.
I just believe he is falling in line with the other writers who want this team to fail.

I think it would be really cool if Dolan would fire IT and take over as coach and team pres. Then Dolan could really snatch tragedy out of the jaws of defeat and make a DLee and Balkman for Glen Rice trade. The ship ain't sinking it done sunk and it's going to stay there as long as Dolan is in charge. I want my knicks back.

I respect Trane's opinion even if it differs from my own.

ALAN IS A HATER, TRUE FANS DONT WORRY,ISIAH WILL BE FORCED TO GIVE UP COACHING IF WE DONT WIN,I THINK DOLAN WILL GIVE HIM THE NEXT HOME STAND. PACKAGE STEF AND LEE FOR ARTEST AND BIBY, IF STEF CANT BRING U A PG OR CONTRACT RELIEF, BENCH HIS ASS, MAKE HIM AGRREE TO A FAVORABLE BUY OUT. ZEEKE SHOULD BE FIRED FOR PLAYING ROSE AT ALL

I've pretty much been an optimist and a supporter of all Knicks, Isiah & Steph, everybody. I think this may be the last straw. Its disgusting and pathetic.

The combination of reading that Steph is threatening Zeke with blackmail because he wanted to bench him a game, plus the quotes from Alan that tells us a lot of the team is done with Steph already, has convinced me. I am finally done with Steph. It hurts, because I wanted to sbadly for it to work. I wanted desperately to one day have the championship parade down Broadway with Steph still in a Knicks jersey, to give a big F-you to the world. But it ain't happening. Steph has got to go.

Dammit.

I dont respect the opinions of racists.

Another one of your oh so clever nicknames.

nate4sewerboss.

Would you call luke ridinour or hienrich or mark price a sewer boss?

why nate?

Staph (Infection) Starbury should be fined 250k for every game his misses. That's just salary. He should also be punished another 10k per day and get a blanket party from his teammates.. Zeke, just walk away man. You are hated in Indiana, you bankrupted the CBA, sexually harassed a direct report, and embarrassed a once proud franchise.

Just leave already. For once, do the right thing. Please.

I have no problem with Alan's comments. I appreciate the info. I'm all for not having Steph on the team. He is a better scorer than Collins & N8. But is that what we need? No. Isiah knows that.

Alan, one question. The statement at the end of today's blog:
"It will, once these characters are finally removed". Charecters is plural. Does that mean Isiah as well?

Isiah might be testing the value of his players. Maybe not blow it up. But let's see what other teams offer us and say they called inquiring. I think Isiah realizes he has a steal in Zach. I bet he wish he sent Steph to Portland instead.

Might be a bad time to be a Knick, but a good time to be a fixer. I enjoy all your comments...except you troll. DFTT

So Mark why is nate a sewerboss??????????????????????

answer you hateful piece of garbage.......

collins, what a joke,i want my pg to be able to shoot free throws.all u people thats hung up on defence get over it, we had that with ewing and the boys, and people still was not happy, look at phoenix, denver, dallas, almost all the good teams what d do they play

Baz, it was that last comment that set me off against Alan. It just sounds like he was waiting for it to happen.....

Mark,

Why is nate a sewer boss?????????????????????

Marbury can't come back....If Isiah allows this I'd be disgusted...He bailed on his team, bottomline...Once again he made it about him and his ego! Time to cut ties and move him...He can be traded and he should be...But he should NEVER be allowed to wear a Knicks uniform again!

Why do people respond to Mark and David?

If you enjoy what they bring just stick your head in the toilet and spare the rest of us.

no answer.......coward and a bigot

Alan Hahn, this is why you're the man, I've been scouring the papers to find out how the players feel about Marbury's actions. I can't imagine they can have team chemistry after this ordeal, and Isiah wants leadership?... from Marbury? That's impossible at this point, if Marbury hasn't played his last game as a Knick, the season is toast.

Definitely.

More than anything they are fishermen.

They like to chum the waters and wait for people like you to take the bait.

Don't be a minnow!

You are right emac.

its just that Nate really strikes me as a good kid. Friendly, polite, hard working.

Did you see last night when he applied a hard foul on Grant Hill? They were both on the floor and Hill kind of gave him a look like "Hey havnt I been injured enough."
It was a good clean foul and Nate said in his loveably childish manner "im sorry man". and that was it.

People want to portray him as a thug because he has tattooes and is confident and black.

It just sickens me when people speak poorly of nate when it isnt warrented.

So I wanted an explaination for calling him a sewer boss

Thank you Mark
you made my point

nate4prez - your criticism of alan is completely ridiculous. don't shoot the messenger. the truth is that this is all isiah's fault. he's the gm that traded for steph, he's the gm that defended marbury against the world, and he's the coach that couldn't keep him with the team. it's over. we've all hoped for improvement. we've been fooled for brief moments of success, but one has to come to the conclusion that the isiah thomas era has been a complete failure on every level. let's move on already.

Thats fair Pete.
I dont know Alan. I can be wrong but, i dont think I am. Just my opinion. His last comment pissed me off. Sounded too familiar.

There are 2 options for this team.

1) Crumble in the face of adversity.

or

2) Rally behind thier coach and prove they can win without thier "superstar".

We've got a winable game tonight.

IT IS UNFORGIVABLE. I ALWAYS DEFENDED MARBURY AND HE IS WILLING TO SACRIFICE THE SEASON I WAITED ALL SUMMER TO WATCH, JUST SO HE CAN BE A B-TCH. HE SHOULD SUE ISIAH LIKE ANUCHA. YOU KNOW HE'LL WIN, HIS FEELINGS WERE HURT. WAAAA!

GET ARTEST THROW IN LEE AND WHOEVER ELSE AND GET BIBBY TOO EVEN IF IT MEANS ALSO GIVING UP CRAWFORD OR Q

MANY TEAMS SALIVATE FOR THAT 21 MILLION EXPIRING CONTRACT NEXT YEAR. STEPH CAN HELP A TEAM FOR A YEAR AND THEN IT'S THE KOBE SWEEPSTAKES FOR CAP ROOM. ALL IS NOT LOST, UNLESS WE DON'T ACT NOW.

BIBBY, Q OR CRAWFORD , ARTEST, RANDOLPH, CURRY

WE CAN WIN WITH THAT.

Pete it's not over. It might be after the game tonight but it's not over yet.

I think nate4prez interpreted Alan's comment that all "shall be well" (clever Alan) when "charecters" are gone meant Isiah too. Alan has never come out directly before and said the Knicks would be better off without him (to my knowledge). And technically he didn't here either.

I think we (maybe just nate4prez and I) would like to know if that is what he meant. No harm no foul (speaking for myself here).

I just think that was a little vague. I have been a Zeke loyalist since Detroit. However, this last epsisode (Zeke's fault or not) is the type of incident you could think would be a detriment to the team and cost him his job. But if the "team" doesn't really want Steph around it's a good play on Isiah. Maybe that's why he let Curry tell him he was benched (according to reports). He knew he could provoke Steph. I would not put it past Isiah that he underestimated Steph's I.Q. Steph played his ONLY card real quick. He is dumb, but the question is, was he smart enough this time.

The media called the "scapegoat" theory quick. They're around them more than I. Sometimes they get it right. It's just hard with NY sportwriters. I appreciate Alan's clever and funny real news writing. If Zeke goes I won't stop reading. Alan wasn't prematurely calling for Zeke's head like others. The question is...is he now?

Robin Ventura and Nolan Ryan are just a couple of thugs and punks. Remember when Ventura and Ryan fought? What a couple of thugs.
(Not my feelings, just making a point)

Marbury fined more than $180K for skipping game

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3110086

Steph fined $180,000. That's 12,000 pair of Starbury's. Or two pair of Nike LeBron's.

Nate4prez – we don’t agree, but I, too, respect what you have to say. And emac2 is right – don’t bother with that guy. He can’t be rational, so why even try? It just encourages him to post more nonsense.

Just ignore. I just scroll past at this point. I don’t even read it anymore. For what it’s worth, my advice is: Don’t read. Don’t respond. Just Scroll Past. Don’t Feed The Trolls. (DFTT)

And I think you’re wrong about Alan. It's true: you're shooting the messenger. There is a big difference between not thinking Isiah is doing a good job . . . and wanting the team to lose. I can certainly see the kind of satisfaction you’re talking about in the writing of others (he that shall not be named, for example). But I really do think Alan is just telling it like it is. In a colorful manner, perhaps. But that, too, conveys, a sense of the insanity surrounding this team at the moment. I’ve been reading Alan for a while now. I don’t see any of that kind of prejudice in him at all. But when someone screws up, he’s going to say so . . .

Sports is a funny thing.

Jason Kidd beat his wife. But he's a great teamate.

Stephon Marbury is a bad teamate. But he single handedly improved the lives of thousands of underprivliged kids and has never beat his wife.

You know - nobody's perfect. The guy obviously needs a sports psychologist, and has his mental issues as far as focus and ego. But meanwhile - hasn't Kobe in effect abandoned his teamates? Hasn't Kobe expressed 0 confidence in his teamates?

What about Rasheed Wallace, when he singlehandedly might have cost his team a trip to the finals because of his ego, when he took ridiculous technical fouls and got ejected during the clinching game of the championship season?

The fact is - we're all a bunch of hypocrites, including the media, and we only see these issues in terms of winner/loser.

Sprewell choked his coach - came to NYC, went to the finals, and became a beloved hero. Bad teamate? Messed up dude?

Lets get something straight, Marbury is a beautiful human being... with serious identity and focus issues. Stardom has been a curse, and he's not always the most focused and effective basketball player for his talents.

Is what he did the mark of selfishness? Sure. But isn't it just as selfish of his teamates to judge him and abandon him in what is obviously his time of need as well? That's why I appreciate Curry's responce.

The fact is, the pressure surrounding Thomas, including the trial, is obviously too much for this team right now. Thomas' move to bench Marbury was reactionary, desperate, a sign of panic, and wrongheaded ... it totally reflected a failure to gauge the player, and the most effective means of coaxing his success at that point in time. This is usually Thomas' biggest strength, so its obvious that Thomas isn't able to be at his best as a coach because he is not in a positive and constructive place right now, with the pressure and the trial hanging over his head. To manage multidimensional and complicated players like Stephon requires a special kind of focus and positive energy, even if that positive energy is disciplinary and stern in nature.

I was disgusted at the Heat loss - but look at what has happened now. The team had 0 margin for error, but early in the season, even Gilbert Arenas, Luel Deng, and others are struggling.

Too much pressure on this franchise.

Too much pressure on Stephon. Too much pressure on Isiah.

Marbury can play - and deserves a coach who can bring out the best in him. LA would be perfect.

Mark, there's a blog on the BRAVO channel asking for you.

Just ignore.

By responding, you give it a credibility it doesn’t deserve.

Don’t legitimize it with a response.

DFTT.

I am not really familiar with the tabloid writers. I only started to read Alan's stuff because I like this blog. Ive never blogged before but, I was craving good knick talk, which I found. Maybe im a little sensative with this stuff at this point, but i thought some true colors started to show at the end of his blog entry.

"Characters FINALLY removed." Just that one word. as in long awaited and anticipated end.

Miami Knicks Fan,

That was the position I assume some fans took when Marbury arrived. Also, the position when Isiah became his coach. I saw his tears during Katrina and think his sneakers are a good thing.

But does he wear out his welcome on every team?

Is he a good teamate?

I was offended by the criticism that "teams got better" after he left. Teams added better player as well. But maybe Marbury the basketball player doesn't mind being on a losing team as long as he get's his 40 minutes, 19 & 8, and can be Starbury.

Maybe he is not happy when he has to sacrifice his game for the better of the team or make his teamates better.

Is there really a team for that kind of guy? He isn't the first. Barkley was selfish about getting the credit. Gilbert Arenas seems to be going down the same road. And yes, Kobe. Great players. Maybe not great teamates or winners.

I ain't mad at Marbury. But I'd like him gone. And yes, I am a hypocrite.

I don't see how Isiah gets the blame for this one. With everything else aside, all he did here was change his starting lineup. He is the COACH and should be allowed to do that without expecting WW3 to ensue.

As for Steph (a re-post from another blog)....

You know what, I’m still thinking about it. This is what it would take (talk about wishful thinking).

Stephon shows up in LA tonight. He makes a public statement putting all the onus on him. Sincerely apologizes for disrespecting the franchise, fans, coach, and most importantly teammates. He admits it was one of his biggest errors ever, and truly seems remorseful.

To prove he means it, he accepts a reduced role off the bench. For the next couple weeks Stephon happily comes off the bench, and plays the best ball of his career. His D is as good as it was at its peak last year, he is attacking the rim like we know he still can, and he is setting his teammates up. When he makes a mistake, he keeps his head up. He is the first one off the bench to cheer his teammates and give a high-5.

IF he can pull off all of this, then fine, we welcome him back. I’m not holding my breath.

you and emac are right of course. I just wanted to point some things out about his little nickname because i hear the whole nate is a thug thing too much.
When Black athletes fight they are "thugs".

When white athletes fight, they are "fiery" or "warriors".

Adam,
I agree. If Steph does that, I can chalk it up to blowing off some steam.
I dont think its gonna happen though. If hes not in LA tonight let him collect dust for the next two years if we cant get bibby and artest.

well when your wrong your wrong......

apparently Steph will be in LA

MARK IS REALLY MIKE BREEN....................U HATER..........ALAN U SHOULD COVER THE NETS, U WILL FIND PLENTY TO WRITE ABOUT.....J KID FONDLING A WOMAN AND BEATING HIS WIFE, SEAN WILLIAMS SMOKING POT............HA HA WE STILL LOVE THE KNICKS ALAN ..............

new blog form Alan

NOW I'll be totally honest and admit I don't know if I think that's good news or bad news (that Steph will be in LA). Part of me was getting to like the idea we might be rid of him. But I agree with Adam, too. If he decides to do the right thing . . . he can only help this team.

Steph MAY be in LA . . . but everything I'm reading is pretty vague. It seems to be based on a lot of unconfirmed sources. I'm not saying he's not going to be there. But I haven't read one report yet that says definitively he's on his way . . .

Love the blog. Just some great Knicks talk from some great fans. I happen to like Alan's posts. But we need to understand he is not necessarily a Knicks fan. It's not his job to be optimistic. There are many good points to what Isiah has done for the Knicks. Remember this team was in shambles when he inherited it. Just because they had some moderate success before he arrived meant nothing. Houston was on his way down the tubes. He didn't trade Camby and Hilario for Mcdyess. Isiah drafted Camby. He drafted many good players in this league including a hand full on the Knicks. He also brought Zach in for a song. However he has made some bad moves as well like the Jerome James signing and the Jared Jeffries signing. How about the Larry Brown era? Larry Brown is an a-hole but Isiah hired him. Also, the sexual harrasment trial was a black eye for the franchise and now this. So although I think Isiah gets a bad wrap when he is blamed for all of the Knicks woes he is also responsible for his fair share of the problems. I think Alan does not like Isiah. I've never gotten the sense that he did. I think like many in the sports world he has been biased against Isiah since the beginning and has been waiting for the team to crumble. But as we watch the fiasco unfold. Is he wrong? Honestly I think he wants them to win. He wants to cover a winner because that will be better for him and more fun. He is not rooting for these guys to fail. It's just that time and again it looks like the Knicks won't be able to get out of their own way until the organization is completely revamped. I don't want that either believe me. I think we have great talent. But just look at the results so far. This is gross right now. I just wanted to say I like the blog and I want to thank Alan for having it and participating in it. He hasn't jumped in for a while and look forward to hearing his opinion on some of our posts.

By the way Nate4Prez, don't know if lee hurt his eye on the plane but reports are saying something happened on the plane. so that source wasn't completely off. He works for the Knicks and knew about it yesterday when word first got out that Steph had flown back to NY. Later fixers

hahaha wow....its less than 10 games into the season and everyone is calling it quits already...seriously grow some and stick with this team, at least 20 games. We all know Isiah isn't going to get fired. If this team has less than 35 wins this year he should. Give this team some time to gel, you don't build a contender in a day. It's funny....people that were so optimistic just last week are already screaming that the sky is falling. It's one player being selfish. One player doesn't make a team. Support your team people.
