So for a week you all have had to rely on the observations of some clueless sportswriter your beloved bloghost for insight on your Knicks. Well, Fixers, on Monday morning you can see for yourself just how ridiculously fast (and somewhat under control) Nate Robinson looks in Mike D'Antoni's system, how steady Chris Duhon appears, how tremendously athletic Wilson Chandler can be and exactly how Allan Houston looks a week into his comeback attempt.![]()
(And if you look closely, you might even see Danilo Gallinari jogging a bit. Bonus!)
If you get NBAtv -- or know someone who does -- set your DVR for 11 a.m. and let it run for two hours, because Monday's practice at the MSG Training Center will be broadcast live, with commentators. This is the first time the Knicks have had their practice featured on NBAtv....which is yet another sign the days of the closed-access, Kremlinesque secrecy are over.
If you don't get NBAtv...what the hell are you waiting for?..sign up today! Cable subscribers click here for more information. DirecTV subscribers go here and Dish Network people go here.
If you have an analog TV...please, go here. Go now, rabbit ears.
The preseason opener is Wednesday in Toronto, so consider this a sneak peek behind the scenes.
Enjoy.
In the meantime, here's Houston's vlog from MSG.com, where he wraps up the week of camp in Saratoga Springs.

Really looking forward to watching this practice.
And Allan, you're the man (Houston).
You're not so bad either Alan.
I'm getting excited about the Knicks again! I hope they don't dissapoint me once again.
Alan I love your blog and thanks for telling us about the practice on NBA TV.
I forgot to add that I am rooting for you Allan Houston to make the team and have another great year.
Back when Allan Houston was one of the first $100-million men, some were complaining that he was over paid. But, he always gave his all and always was a great performer on the court and big positive influence in the locker room. Who does not remember his big winning shot against heavily favored Miami to propel the Knicks to the NBA finals!
Go Huston, go Knicks!
Happy Talk:

Figure D'Antoni is going to find a way to get Collins' passing, defense and size on the floor. If Jeffries can play center, Chandler can play 4, Collins can play 3. I was real interested in the 3 on 5 defensive drill too. There will be a need for Collins and Robinson to cover ground. Here's hoping that drill is intended to get them thinking about forcing the ball to the sidelines for traps. If I'm scared I can't protect the basket defensively, that's where I want to make my stand - don't allow the ball to get there.
Thought for the Day: 8 seconds or less is about making the quick pass, not taking the quick shot.
Starberman accused Mike D'Antoni of having a highschool crush on Chris Duhon because he prefers him over his boy toy Crackbury! LOL Berman is such a clown!
houston should start!!!!
Sergio - and then he plugged Marbury's Workout Video!

The guy is frikkin infomercial.
One of the reasons Knicks fans were upset with Houston's 100 mil was because he did not give his all every game. There were many quarters of crucial games when it seemed that Houston just took off and wandered around. Perfect example is the 99' finals where Spree was the clearly the best player on the court/Knicks. That being said, Houston was easily better than anyone on this current Knicks roster and I crave those days again.
If Marbury gets released, will Berman resign from the Post and follow him? Could be the first ever athlete/beat writer package. Also does anyone else notice how much he hates Gallinari? For what? The Rooster despite his injuries, has yet to even touch the Garden floor!
keep up the good work Alan, and thanks for the heads up on the Knicks practice.

All the best H2O, you are still the man....
One of my all time favorite Knick, because he never complains. He just shows up and give it his best. Never cuase problems like Spree, just a humble, down to earth guy.
Thanks for all the years and I wish some of your ways could rub off on Marbury and a few other guys on this team.
I will never forget that winning shot against the Heat.......
I hope to see you on the team and may God bless you.
The Original Knicks fan 4 life. GO NY, GO NY, GO !!!!!!!!!
i hope that Houston makes it
its a feel good storey

A buddy of mine left me a voice mail laughing saying I'm going to love how Crackbury completely messed up some type of play and was ignorning and not listening to anyone, especially Nate Robinson. Can anyone who saw this practice confirm?
So Knowledge wants to trade a guy nobody wants for a guy everyone wants..Keep up the good work..i'm sure the Lakers need a crap point gaurd for their second best player..
Keeping 2010 alive
with some bulljive
one of you should put this practice up on youtube
Berman has no integrity. His articles have horrible gaps in their logic (Marbury should start since he decided to get into great shape - yet if that is reason to start, why was he starting all those years when he didn't get into great shape?) and seem intended only to rile up readers who are tired of Marbury's self-serving crap and undermine the current management (D'Antoni doles out assignments based on high school crushes?!?!?). I assume he isn't an actual moron, so he knows what he is doing - jocking the real crush subject (his love for Marbury borders on "here are the knee pads and directions to my truck" territory) and fomenting trouble. Notice there is no real reporting, like checking out Duhon in camp - just a vague mention of what scouts think - or any awareness of what is needed to play winning basketball. I don't even read him anymore, unless something pops up like the link to today's s--t sandwich. We are lucky to have a professional like Alan on the job who actually responds to what is happening around the team.
Lost in all this is just how much of a little b--ch Marbury is to be constantly whining to this clown. He's like a middle school girl boo-hooing over the tribulations of her life. Man up for once and shut your damn mouth.
At most, one more season of this jerk and his enabler. There's something to look forward to.
Sorry about the rant - I'm just tired of this garbage. Can we just look forward please?
Boiman is the tmz of Knicks basketball.
