The real Jordan never was much for politics, rarely getting involved in any remotely controversial public causes. The Jordan who plays for the Lakers -- Jordan Farmar -- is going to the Middle East next month in an attempt to broker peace between Jews and Palestinians.
He'll try to do it on the basketball court, where there might actually be a chance. Maybe next, Jordan can solve the credit crisis.

I thought this was a joke at first. Wow, this is great. What really matters in life. I have always admired guys like Dikembe and Hakeem O who recognized that their celebrity had a limited window and used it to actually make a difference in the world.
On a side note: you never got back on whether Brand is healthy? No one else mentioned it in all of the coverage about the new K.
