The Celtics can't stay out of the free-agent news. Gerald Green, who was part of the Kevin Garnett blockbuster last summer, has agreed to terms with the Dallas Mavericks, reports Eddie Sefko of the Dallas Morning News.
I'm going to step away from the blog for a bit to catch up on some reporting. So this would be a good time to roll out a clip of my personal hero, Frank Caliendo, doing his impersonations of Charles Barkley, Bill Walton, John Madden, George Bush, et al, on the TNT set. (Hey, you need something to do while waiting for more free agent updates.)

Hi Ken,
Love what you doing! Newsday should put ad space (or block like the Knicks blog) on the sports or basketball pages so more people will see these great nba updates! Bit hard to find you if you don't know where to look!
spread the word, Mrrixx!
Hey Ken I keep on hearing how the Knicks and Nets are clearing cap room space for Lebron or Wade in '10. Is this wise? Everybody says it makes sense for Lebron in this case because of marketing possibilities. The whole world knows who Lebron is and he already makes zillions of dollars aready. If he wanted to he could fly to see Jayzee everyday and still not be hurt in the wallet. I just don't see this scenario panning out for either franchise. What do you think?
Cya,
Dave
I think it's perfectly wise and prudent for the Knicks, Nets, and any other team that believes it has a shot at LeBron to clear space and try to assemble as many enticing assets as possible. I'm not convinced LeBron is leaving, but I'm not convinced he's staying, either. He will go to the place where he has the best chance to win. Thanks for checking in.
