Cuban's Cubs bid: brilliant or disaster?

Mark Cuban gets mixed reviews in this Dallas Morning News piece on the possibility of owning and running both the Mavericks and the Chicago Cubs. He gets a ringing endorsement from Jerry Jones (for what it's worth), and a thumbs down from an SMU business school professor, who predicts Cuban's dual ownership would be, "in one word, disaster."

Hate to admit it, but I side with Jerry Jones on this issue. Cuban deserves a ton of credit for bringing competitive, interesting basketball back to Dallas. Plus, baseball could use someone with Cuban's vision and knack for innovation.
