FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Only Full-Combat Fighting Still Legal in New York To Be Featured on Long Island

*Ring-Side media accommodations available

Carle Place, NY (August 19, 2008) The New York Fight Club brings to Long Island for the first time the only full-combat fighting that's still legal in New York: 12 full-contact bouts August 28 at the Freeport Recreation Center.

The card will feature some of the top talent from the area's top gyms, including fighters from:

* Emerson Souza Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy, Baldwin
* Extreme Muay Thai Kickboxing and MMA Academy, Valley Stream
* Sitan Gym, Long Island City
* Campbell's Karate and Kickboxing, Amityville
* Borodin's Muay Thai Gym, Brooklyn
* New York San Da, Manhattan

"These bouts will feature the only full-combat fighting that's still legal in New York State," said promoter John McFeely, owner of Bikram Yoga in Carle Place.
McFeely, who is the Yoga coach for the New York Jets, will also take to the ring to battle Marvin Leggits 20 years his junior.

"Part of my training is to take a 90-minute class in 100 degree heat everyday and sometimes twice a day," the combatant said. "This is the key to my very strong cardio and why I feel I'll be able to outlast my opponent."

According to McFeely, the Jets employ a pre-season workout regiment that includes Bikram Yoga, Mixed Martial Arts with champion fighter Renzo Gracie of the legendary Gracie Family of Brazil, and Boxing with renowned trainer and commentator Teddy Atlas.

"The Jets convert their media room into a hot room with ceiling mounted heaters for their classes," McFeely noted. "They are one tough team."
