Tomasz Adamek TKOs Johnathon Banks in 8

Newark -- Adamek's Army was out in full force tonight, approximately 5,900 strong. The loyal following of cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek, faces painted, waiving Polish flags, did not leave the Prudential Center disappointed. After a slow start, Adamek methodically wore down Johnathon Banks, dropping him twice in the eighth round before referee Eddie Cotton stopped it.

Also on the Showtime card was an IBF middleweight title-eliminator that saw Giovanni Lorenzo knock out Dionisio Miranda with a single right hand in the second round. On the non-televised portion of the show, local favorite Jerson Ravelo was stopped with 11 seconds left in the fight by Don Mouton. Ravelo led on two scorecards at the time of the stoppage.

Great coverage Bobby.
Adamek is a true champion. I'm so glad I saw the fight on YouTube and could turn down the volume and not have to listen to the rubbish from the commentators. Adamek is the champ in my weight division-and I never got a shot at that title!

i saw the fight on youtube and hated the comentator also. are these guys the comentators blind or just stupid or are they getting paid off to promote certain boxers-better still-have they ever had a fight in the ring? great win adamek
