Mayweather hurt, bout with Marquez postponed
The following is a statement from Golden Boy Promotions:
The highly anticipated July 18 fight between Floyd Mayweather and Juan Manuel Marquez has been postponed due to a rib injury sustained by Mayweather while training. The mega-fight was scheduled to take place at MGM Grand in Las Vegas and be televised live on HBO Pay-Per-View.
"I am extremely disappointed that this fight has to be postponed," said Mayweather. "I was training very hard and looking forward to getting back in the ring on July 18th."
"I was very disappointed to hear the news about the fight being postponed," said Marquez from his training camp in Mexico. "I will remain focused, in shape and ready to fight whenever the fight is rescheduled for."
Information about rescheduling the fight will be made available as soon as possible.

Another lousy reason to avoid Pacqiao. He knows that Pacquiao is waiting for the winner of Mayweather/Marquez fight
Who cares if he fights or not. The reality of the matter is boxing will be better off without Floyd.
Mayweather like to discredit Pacquiao whenever he talk in front of the media.

i think mayweather is just nerves to get in the ring and fight agian he retired because he siad nobody can beat him and i know he is wrong if he steps in the ring in july he will not only lose but get dismantled if he dont shake off that dust and the chip on his shoulder he needs to understand that its the love of the sport that drives a boxer to be great not the money like when he was boxing in the am leagues he did it for the love he needs to find that place agian to be the best we all know he can be and then maybe we can see him and pacman duke it out yeah boy its gone be a hell of a fight

For all of us who put on a pair of gloves before,- Floyd who is 31 has overtrained
overtrained possibly injuring his rib, he's not nervous about fighting
Marquez a guy who is ranked #2 only because boxing is on crutches right
now. How can a guy like Pacquiao beat floyd, he doesn't move
around te ring well enough. P.S- We have all seen Pac Man take

Pacquiao is a great fighter but he can't dance with Mayweather. Mayeather is too quick with his footwork and has the best defense in the game nuff said.
