John Edwards, his mistress and George Steinbrenner
So I read today that John Edwards met his mistress Rielle Hunter at the bar at New York's Regency Hotel in '06.
Many Yankees fans surely recognize the Regency as George Steinbrenner's hotel of choice in New York City. That's where they held organizational meetings in 2006, and where they met to discuss Joe Torre's fate the past two Octobers.
So maybe while Edwards and Hunter were getting to know each other over margaritas, Steinbrenner and the Yankees clan were upstairs debating the team's future. Maybe.
