Perhaps this is why Plaxico Burress chose Harris Smith as his gunshot-wound-hiding hospital alias

On Nov. 2, Clemson University announced the groundbreaking for the Harris A. Smith Building for packaging science and graphics.

From Clemson's website:

The building will be named for a major Clemson donor: Harris A. Smith of Atlanta, former chairman, president and chief executive officer of Smith Container Corp. Smith sold his family-owned rigid packaging company, headquartered in Atlanta, to a global packaging company a few years ago. He decided to invest in higher education to support the packaging industry his family helped define.

Or could it be because on Oct. 20, Harris Smith was named managing partner of Private Equity and Strategic Relationships at Grant Thornton LLP in Chicago?

There's also a director/writer/actor named Harris Smith who, in 2005, produced a movie set in New York called "You Can't See Me When I Hide".

There's also a Harris Smith, M.D., who works in Santa Fe, N.M.

He's a psychiatrist.

Google is a wonderful thing.

Not on MY rolodex, but I am certain he has a well heeled client base up there.
