Plaxico Burress, Applebee's and dessert shooters

I had to laugh when Harris Smith (Plaxico Burress) claimed that he had been shot at Applebee's.
Was Smith (Burress pretending to be) there for the "Two entries and an appetizer for $20" special? The seven-ounce steak isn't THAT filling.
No, I'll bet he was thinking, Freudianly, about those $2.49 dessert shooters.
Chicago Norm Jr. really enjoys the chocolate mousse, but they also offer Apple Caramel Supreme shooters, Key Lime Pie shooters, Strawberry Cheescake shooters, and Hot Fudge Sundae shooters.
I wonder if Applebee's product-placement campaign is what hooked Plax.
Fans of the "Friday Night Lights" TV show get to visit Applebee's every Wednesday, as both Tyra Collete and Julie Taylor work there. Plus that's where all the big meetings and city functions in make-believe Dillon, Texas, are held.
And then there was the only funny scene from Will Ferrell's dreadful "Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" where they talk about going to a "fine-dining" restaurant and in the next scene, they're at Applebee's.
Makes me want to take Mrs. CN out to the one in Commack for some fine dining.
Uh, set me up with a couple of those hot fudge sundae shooters, please.
